WALDEN JOINS LOWER LOUP NRD BOARD
Kim Walden of Columbus has been appointed to fill a vacancy on the Lower Loup Natural Resources District Board of Directors. Walden will represent the NRD’s Sub District 9, which covers the central third of the city of Columbus.
Walden was appointed to the seat by the LLNRD Board of Directors at its meeting in Ord March 26th. Walden said that he had a strong interest in protecting the environment. He said he believed that the local control offered through the state’s Natural Resources Districts was a good way for Nebraskans to maintain and improve natural resources.
Walden is the Corporate Security Manager for Nebraska Public Power District in Columbus. He was an officer in the U.S. Navy and Navy Reserves. He and his wife Susan have three children.
