The Lake Ericson Corporation has completed a major renovation at Lake Ericson. Approximately 260,000 cubic yards of sand and sediment was dredged from the lake. Improvements to the Ericson Dam improved flood control capabilities, dam operation, and water control. Shoreline rehabilitation was completed on 4,700 feet of shoreline. Concrete surfaces for the canoe portage trail and camper pads were also added.

The Lower Loup Natural Resources District nominated the Ericson Lake Corporation for the award. It was presented at the Nebraska Association of Resources Districts annual conference in Kearney September 26th.
