CONCENTRATION OF IRRIGATION

One of the factors taken into consideration as applications for new irrigation are ranked by Lower Loup staff is concentration of irrigation. Using data from the Elkhorn-Loup Model, the effect that pumping from a new groundwater well would have on the flows of existing groundwater wells can be estimated. A "pdf" map of the Lower Loup Natural Resources District showing the irrigation concentration for each section of ground in the NRD can be accessed here (the file is large and will take some time to load for those with slower internet connetions).
