Brian Kolar of Seward has joined the staff of the Lower Loup Natural Resources District. NRD General Manager Leon “Butch” Koehlmoos said Kolar will serve as the NRD’s Water Programs Specialist.
In his new job, Kolar will coordinate LLNRD water programs and data gathering projects. Koehlmoos said that Kolar’s duties would include GIS data collection and processing, soil and water sampling, and water analysis. Kolar will also work in the field doing irrigation well flow checks, static water level measurement, and chemigation inspections.
Kolar, a graduate of Ord High School and Southeast Community College in Milford, comes to the NRD from HWS Consulting Group in Lincoln, where he served as a survey crew leader. Kolar’s family includes his wife, Marie, and a son, Gage.
