Crop Water Use Information Now Available for 2018 Growing Season

Crop water use information is now available from the Lower Loup NRD for the 2018 irrigation season.   The data is compiled by the University of Nebraska- Lincoln Extension and can be accessed by clicking on the “Resources” tab on the tool bar above.  Then, follow the drop-down box to “Crop Water Use.” The report includes information on daily crop water use for corn, soybeans, potatoes, and alfalfa. …

Lower Loup NRD Sells Tractor, Equipment By Sealed Bids

The Lower Loup Natural Resources District will sell a John Deere Tractor, 10 foot deck mower and 3 ATVs by sealed bids.  The equipment will sell as is.  Bids must be received by 4:00 p.m., June 15, 2018.  Action on the bids will then be taken by the NRD Board of Directors at their monthly meeting on June  28, 2018.  The Lower Loup NRD reserves the right to refuse any or all bids. Ord, Burwell, and St. Paul Compete at Nebraska Envirothon

Teams from Burwell, Ord and St. Paul competed at the 2018 Nebraska Envirothon at Niobrara State Park on April 25, 2018. In Envirothon, high school teams compete in each category of the contest and for the best score overall.
