Crop Water Use Information Now Available for 2019 Growing Season

July 12, 2019

Crop water use information is now available from the Lower Loup NRD for the 2019 irrigation season.

The data is compiled by the University of Nebraska- Lincoln Extension and can be accessed by clicking on the “Resources” tab on the tool bar above.  Then, follow the drop-down box to “Crop Water Use.” The report includes information on daily crop water use for corn, soybeans, potatoes, and alfalfa.  In addition, it provides a crop water use forecast for the following three days.  Residential home owners will also find information on how much water their bluegrass lawns are utilizing in the reports.

Information is provided for several regions of the state.    For more information, contact the Lower Loup NRD at (308) 728-3221.
