Sargent Flooding and Drainage Meeting Held February 24th

Approximately 70 Sargent area residents attended a meeting hosted by the Lower Loup Natural Resources District to discuss the flooding and drainage issues facing the community and surrounding area on Monday, February 24th.  The LLNRD has hired Olsson, a consulting company, to consider options to handle flooding and drainage issues in the community.

Carrie Romero of Olsson provides a power point presentation on the development of a flood plan for Sargent.

LLNRD General Manager Russell Callan said that public input on the issues is helping formulate strategies for dealing with future flooding.   Those attending the meeting assisted in the process by indicating areas of concern on maps of the community and the surrounding area.
